This Privacy Policy explains how VerityNHD, Inc. dba TucAway ("TucAway," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our registered agent and digital document depository services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
Name, email address, password, and phone number you provide when you create an account.
Company details
Business name, entity type, state of formation, principal address, and beneficial-owner information you submit to configure your registered agent service.
Documents received on your behalf
Legal notices, service of process, tax notices, and other correspondence sent to your TucAway registered agent address. We scan and digitize these documents to make them available in your dashboard.
Payment information
Payment card and billing details are collected and processed by Stripe. TucAway does not store full card numbers on its servers.
Usage data
Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps.
Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Accept, scan, and deliver documents received at your registered agent address.
- Send account notifications, security alerts, and service updates.
- Process payments and prevent fraud.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Information Sharing
Service providers
We share information with vendors who help us operate the Service — including our registered agent partner network, hosting providers, Stripe for payments, and email delivery providers — under contracts that require them to protect your data.
Legal requirements
We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process.
Business transfers
If TucAway is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active plus 12 months.
- Documents received on your behalf: retained for the period specified by your plan.
- Audit and access logs: retained for 7 years for compliance purposes.
6. Data Security
Documents and account data are encrypted at rest and in transit. Access to the dashboard requires authentication, and internal access is limited to authorized personnel with a need to know. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect the information you entrust to us.
7. Your Rights (California CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, request correction, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (TucAway does neither), and receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. To exercise your rights, email privacy@tucaway.com. We will respond within 45 days.
8. Non-Account Holders
If a document is received at a TucAway address that identifies you but you do not have an account, we hold that document only long enough to deliver it to the account holder or return it to the sender.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Global Privacy Control
TucAway honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out request under applicable California law.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days before they take effect.
